eBay Presented is an exquisite, highly collectible Marena oval fringed pendent/brooch These are lovingly handmade in Germany. It is composed of mother of pearl, aurora borealis rhinestones in a gold-plated metal setting with small natural-look faux pearls in a flower & leaf design. It is accented with a tapered swagged fine chain fringe. The design of this gorgeous pin is reminiscent of Art Deco, with its stylized nature theme. It may be worn as a brooch, or as a pendant — there is one loop at the top of the back No chain included The oval portion of the piece is 1.50″ wide & 1.25″ long With the fringe the overall length is about 2.5″ The brooch weighs 13.2 grams This is in excellent condition Imperfections should be expected given its age There is an embossed signature «MARENA hand made in Germany» on the back My limited research into Marena jewelry revealed that many, if not most, of the pieces are one-of-a-kind, and are frequently made with natural minerals. This dates from the late 1980s Purchased from an upscale art & jewelry store on Park Avenue in Winter Park Florida
