It is a complete original magazine still with its chord attached that keeps the pages together. 1904 October Burr McIntosh Monthly magazine. After 115 years, the colors of this artwork are still bright as when it was first issued and that also goes for the other two colored pages. There are in total 3 colored pages inside, and 32 black and white pages for a total of 35 pages, with many beautiful ladies from the period.It also comes with its original tissue paper that covers and protects the Halloween artwork. It is unusual for such artwork to have a year of issue printed below it, additionally confirming without a doubt its age. This piece surely belongs in any Halloween collection. Dimension: height 12 inches, width 6 inches Today, similar mass produced modern prints sold by Art Galleries sell for several hundreds of dollars, if not thousands. We held the Halloween artwork from framing, and kept it with its original binding. We believe the new owner should select what kind of frame it belongs in. All of our postcards are genuine and authentic. We do not sell reproductions. We try to sell complete sets. We also like to put together postcards from the same series. It can take years in trying to complete a set from a specific series. This will allow the collector to put together a collecton in a much shorter period of time. The time, money and effort spent in trying to locate specific Halloween postcards in completing a set warrants a premium in price. We love Halloween postcards postally used on October 31st. From a collector’s perspective, collecting them used on October 31st brings the joy to another level, and because they are scarce, prices will reflect it. In rare instances, you can find a postcard used on October 31st with a postmark from a well known town with a notorious reputation. We do not take pictures with a cell phone or a camera. All of our pictures are scanned using a high resoluton scanner, so every detail can be seen including the many Halloween postcards that are embossed. With a high quality scanner, you can clearly see these embossed details. Scanning also elimates any glare or flash that can discolor the picture. Our descriptions of the postcards will be straight forward, emphasizing on the maker, artist, etc… Each buyer and seller has their own view on the condition of a postcard, therefore we feel that it is very important to give you the best possible picture. When postcards are postally used, we cannot expect them to be perfect, nor we would want them to be.
