Cobra Gold Lace Double Sword Guppy: Males have intricate white lace patterns on their body and fins, light golden yellow/cream body and long double-sword tails with lace. Females are larger, light golden yellow/cream without the lace patterns. Young adult males are approximately 1-1/4+», females are larger. July Baby Explosion! This summer, we will include 2 (two) free 1/2″ fry (Gold Lace fry only) for every pair ordered, and 3 (three) free Gold Lace fry for every trio ordered! (free fry with Gold Lace Only) Albino Red Lace Guppy:Males have a beautiful white lace pattern on their red/orange fins and red and cream body. Females are larger with lighter reddish fins on a cream body. All are albino with red eyes. Young adult males are approximately 1-1/4+», females are larger. Other Information: Photos are of the actual fish in stock and there may be slight color and pattern variations on individual fish. Males may show subtle variations in their colors and patterns but will be very similar to the photos. Younger juvenile males may not have completely developed the larger fins and more vibrant colors of an older adult yet, but they only get better as they mature more. Most fish shipped will be at least 1-1/4+» or more in length. These guppies are home bred and tank-raised in Oregon, not imported. They are vigorous and healthy and ready to add some color and interest to your tanks! Trio: Young adults — 1 Male and 2 FemalesPair: Young adults — 1 Male and 1 FemaleSingle: Young adult — 1 Male -or- 1 Female Fry: 2-3 months, approx. 1/2 to 5/8″, groups of 10 (or more can vary qty if requested) SHIPPING:Shipping will be via USPS on Mondays and Tuesdays, possibly Wednesdays depending on location and shipping speed selected. Orders placed Tuesdays or after will ship out the following Monday/Tuesday (or Wednesday), unless prior arrangements are made. Please notify me when order is placed so that we can coordinate the best shipment date for you to receive your fish. Shipments will be sent out with heat or gel packs as needed depending on temperatures, in an insulated box. Most fish will be bagged individually with oxygen. Actual shipping dates may be dependent on the current weather and temperature conditions, which may delay shipping out. Shipments will be packed in either an 8x8x8 or 12x12x9 USPS Priority Mail box; shipping charges will be figured higher for larger boxes and weights or for Priority Express, and may vary up or down depending on zip code. We can advise ahead of time on actual shipping charges. If multiple shipping boxes are needed, individual box shipping charges will apply. We will coordinate appropriate shipping times and sizes with you as necessary for the health of the fish and to keep shipping costs down. Please have someone available to accept shipment when it arrives — fish must not be allowed to sit longer than necessary and all appropriate unboxing and acclimating must be followed. Let me know if there are any days or restrictions for delivery, or special instructions, so we can discuss. Shipping and arrival times will be sent to your email provided. Live arrival guaranteed if fish are properly shipped, opened and handled immediately after receiving shipment. I will try to send an extra fish to cover any potential DOA. If you receive all the fish you paid for alive (with a potential extra for unlikely DOA), no refund will be given if only one fish is affected, and then only for those others that are affected. If any fish do arrive DOA, please send a minimum of 3 clear photos of all unopened bags and fish within 2 hours of opening the box, and attach and send a message with a detailed description of the issue. Refund or reshipment for DOA’s will be sent if all appropriate measures have been met. Original shipping fees will most likely be non-refundable. Disclaimer: We will provide you with healthy and well-packaged quality fish. We will not take responsibility for damaged shipment if package is delayed or unsuccessfully delivered on the first attempt, or if package is left outside for an extended period of time and proper protocols are not taken. ACCLIMATION INSTRUCTIONS: Note: All new fish should be quarantined after arrival for a minimum of 2 weeks or longer to monitor their health and stress before being added into their permanent tanks. These fish are constantly ‘quarantined’ in their grow-out tanks here. Float the Bag: You want to do this very shortly after arrival. Open the box in a darkened room and keep aquarium lights low or off. Float the sealed bag containing the guppies in the quarantine aquarium for about 20-30 minutes to allow the water temperature inside the bag to gradually equalize with the aquarium water temperature. Set Up the Drip Line: Gather a clean bucket or container and an airline tubing with a control valve or a knot tied in it. Attach one end of the airline tubing to your aquarium’s water source (the quarantine tank you will be moving the guppies into) and start a siphon. Adjust the drip flow rate using the control valve or by adjusting the knot in the tubing. You want a slow, steady drip, around 1-2 drips per second. This is the best method. Start Dripping: After floating the bag, open it and secure it to the rim of the aquarium tank, or gently dump water and fish into another container clipped to the tank. Allow the water from the aquarium to drip slowly into the bag or container. Monitor the water level and adjust the drip rate as needed to maintain a steady drip flow. The goal is to double the volume of water in the bag over the course of about 30-60 minutes. (You can also dump some of the water out of the full container and repeat, and continue dripping for a while longer.) Transfer Fish: Once the water volume in the bag has doubled (one or two times), carefully net the guppies out of the bag and transfer them to the aquarium. Avoid adding the water from the bag to the aquarium to prevent introducing any potential pathogens or contaminants. Dispose of excess water from the container or bag. Keep the lights off for the first few hours and provide plenty of hiding places, and do not feed the first day while they acclimate to their new tank.
