Listed is a somewhat vintage (dating back to when these were made in Italy) HO scale AHM/Rivarossi 0-6-0 steam engine heralding the Chicago Burlington & Qunicy (CB&Q) road name. This classy steam engine was rescued from an estate sale along with a number of other AHM/Rivarossi coal tenders (see my other listings). It was tested on my layout and ran quite well right from the start (forward and reverse) with the forward light working as well. I let it run for about 5 minutes and then it just stopped. When I jiggled it a bit it started off again but then stopped. Assuming it was a loose wire, I removed the boiler and inspected it, but all the wires are solidly connected. Back on the layout it went, and it ran great again but stopped after a few minutes. I cannot figure out why it is running sporadically. Perhaps a more knowledgeable person will know what is wrong with it. It looks like a good little engine but needs some work. It’s in fairly good overall condition but I do not know how long it has been siting so a good run-in period and maybe some lube is advised. NOTE: I do have the coal tender for this unit but I decided to list it separately since it is missing one axle. If you are interested in that coal tender, let me know and I can offer you a better rate on it.
