Vintage Simplex France L.J. gold anodized aluminum road bike retrofriction shifters in excellent condition. Last model and includes Real Unicorns — Extremely rare to find the gold shifters and almost never in braze-on model. These retrofriction levers have a balancing spring to reduce the likelihood of the lever slipping and as a result can be set up with less tension which makes them smoother in operation. This last model set includes a screw that allows you to adjust tension on the spring to dial-in shifting even more. Considered the best shifting downtube shifters of their era, better than Campagnolo and Shimano. Perfect condition never been mounted or tested, no cable mark. Anodized shiny gold color levers, chrome plated steel clamp and hard wares. No box. manual or cable is included.
