For sale, a wonderful RARE to find and condition 19th century Artist metal tole in traditional black supply carrying case. The artist would use these to keep all of their art supplies and carry it with them to paint landscapes, seascapes, etc… whenever they traveled. It is a metal tole black with old gold paint trim case. Their is a metal lasp to place a lock also, it has a wood and metal carrying handle. Their are many compartments to store supplies, oil paint tubes, lift that tray and under that tray is a space for pieces of colored chalk. Slots for paint brushes, smaller slots for other supplies, also the bottom area flaps down to store canvas or paper that the artist would use. The BEST it still has it’s Original Wood paint Palette. It has the slot in the lid to hold it in place. Great original patina to the wood, untouched! The metal tole carrying case is a nice very large size, it is 14″ long x 10″ wide (from side to side). 3″ high. This tole art supply carrying case is in Great used condition for it’s age and use, some minor paint loss on the front black area and some minor flakes, minor wear scratches on the black paint, Inside has little black paint loss. Just a little touch up with black paint would look great. I do not touch or repaint any items, I leave them in found condition. This would look outstanding displayed in your home. Time to thin out my collections! I have been a tole ware collector for over 35 years now. I am downsizing all of my collections!~ This is just one of the many 40 plus vintage tole items that I have collected over the years, I will be selling more ebay this year.
