eBay This came to me along with a large selection of E30 parts. This is the early version, with the slotted connector. The switch mounting is damaged and has been repaired with RTV. It still appears to be functional. It is fairly dirty, the mounting panel has missing pieces. Switch moves as designed, still has a nice firm detent, dimmer function still rotates smoothly & easily. Mounting panel also has some problems. Plastic back lighting piece is loose, headlight knob & tinted plastic ‘windows’ are missing. This particular headlight switch (61311376001) fits US E30 models built until 9/87. Facelift/plastic bumper cars used a different wiring connector, so this part won’t work with those cars. It also appears that Canadian cars built after 7/89 used yet another version, so I’d presume this won’t work with them either. I’m told the headlight switch also fits the E24 6-series cars from Sep ’82 to Sep ’86. It’s listed as compatible by BMW. Sold as-is, for parts only, priced accordingly. Please check pictures closely.
